Become a Certified Driving Monitor

This course is taught by Morty’s Driving School’s expert instructor. The program provides hands-on skills, teaching techniques, and safety protocols required to guide new drivers with confidence.

Program Includes:

  • 42 hours of theoretical training (6 days × 7 hours)
  • 6 theory classes (12 hours)
  • Assessment of driving manoeuvres and behaviors (1 hour)
  • Correction of driving manoeuvres (2 hours)
  • Right-side control driving (in-car with tutor) (2 hours)
  • Observation of in-car sessions (30 hours)
  • Teaching under tutor supervision (34 hours)

Total: 123 hours of training (plus time for self-study)

Who Should Apply

Candidates must have:

  • High school education
  • No criminal record
  • Quebec Class 5 driver’s license (minimum 2 years)
  • No more than 3 demerit points

As well as:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A strong passion for teaching

Driving Instructors – Theory Training

Teach Road Safety in the Classroom

This program prepares instructors to deliver high-quality classroom and online theory lessons for beginner drivers.

Program Includes:

  • 49 hours of theoretical training (7 days × 7 hours)
  • Observation of 12 theory classes (24 hours)
  • Tutored teaching of each theory class (minimum 24 hours)

Total: 97 hours of training (plus time for self-study)
